“We started the day at Montaña Redonda, and it was magical — the views were breathtaking, and we had so much fun on the swings and hammocks. Then we went to Yanigua Waterfall, where we had amazing lunch right by the water. The food was fresh and tasty, and we met a tiny kitten and a sweet dog named Marroni , they totally stole my heart! ♥️ We ended the day with a peaceful boat ride through the mangroves in Los Haitises Park, surrounded by beautiful nature. “This was my favorite excursion I did in the DR! It is a little expensive, but it’s a full day of adventures. The mountains, waterfall, and national park are all beautiful. You get to eat some authentic food and see local plants like cacao, pineapple, and sugarcane. There’s also a super tall treehouse near the waterfall that you can go up in. At the national park they take you on a boat through the mangroves and then you walk into a cave where there are indigenous drawings. Il a fait la visite en 3 langues. Félicitations à lui ! Mais forcément ça ne peut pas être approfondi. Nous avons visité les grottes qui sont relativement bien aménagées. Il faut prévoir au moins une lampe de téléphone parce que les passages ne sont pas éclairés. On nous a ensuite conduit à Cayo Levantado. Les groupes étaient rassemblés suivant leur organisateur. “It was great! However, I think the person in charge should switch the ferry transportation to the bigger boat for more comfort. The ride was rough! Also, the bigger boat gets you there in 45 mins instead of 1 hour and a half, especially since there is a limit on time. Everything else was fabulous! Food and guides were great!”
